PRECISION BAIT CO. / CUSTOMER INFORMATION
Privacy
Policy.
Effective October 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Precision Bait Co. (“Precision Bait Co.,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit our website, contact us about a product or custom idea, or—when available—place an order. Precision Bait Co. sells small-batch soft-plastic fishing lures and serves a U.S. customer base. This policy applies to website visitors and customers across all 50 states. State privacy rights can differ and may depend on where you live, the information involved, and whether a particular law applies to our business and processing.
Checkout status: Checkout is currently disabled. We are not accepting online orders or collecting payment information through this site. We plan to open checkout before shipments begin on October 20, 2026. We will verify and update the payment details below to match the final integration before accepting payments.
Current site and checkout status
This website currently provides a product catalog, product search and selection controls, and a temporary shopping bag. Checkout is disabled. We are not accepting online orders or collecting payment information through this site. We plan to open checkout before shipments begin on October 20, 2026. We will verify and update the payment details below to match the final integration before accepting payments. The shopping bag operates in your active browser session and is not an account or a saved order.
You can email us about products or custom concepts. Information you include in an email is handled as described below. Do not send payment card numbers, security codes, passwords, or other sensitive financial credentials by email.
Information we collect
Information you provide. If you email us, we receive the information in your message, such as your name, email address, phone number if you include it, product questions, design ideas, attachments, and any follow-up correspondence. Please provide only information needed for your inquiry.
Shopping activity. Product selections, search terms, model selections, and bag quantities are currently handled in your browser to operate the catalog experience. The current site does not create customer accounts or save your shopping bag or selections to a server.
Technical information. Vercel hosts this website and may process standard request and security information needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot it. This can include IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, referring page, request timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs.
Information if ordering becomes available. A future order flow may collect customer name, email, phone number if requested, billing and shipping addresses, items and quantities, order totals, delivery instructions, transaction status, and customer-service communications. We will update this policy to match the fields and systems actually used before enabling checkout.
How we use information
We use information to answer messages, discuss product or custom-bait requests, operate and secure the website, understand and troubleshoot technical problems, and maintain business records. If online ordering is enabled, we will also use order information to take and fulfill orders, coordinate payment and delivery, provide order and delivery updates, support customers, manage returns or disputes, prevent fraud, and meet tax and accounting duties. We will send promotional email only where permitted and will include a way to opt out. We do not currently operate a newsletter signup on this site.
Ideas sent to us are used to review and respond to the inquiry. Any decision to develop, manufacture, license, or market a submitted concept will be handled under a separate written agreement where appropriate.
Orders and Authorize.Net payments
Checkout is not active as of the effective date above, and we currently collect no payment information through this website. We plan to use Authorize.Net for payment processing when checkout is launched. Authorize.Net is a separate payment service provider that handles information under its own privacy and security terms.
The final payment integration has not yet been configured. If we use Authorize.Net Accept.js or its hosted payment form, payment details are submitted from the customer’s browser to Authorize.Net and a one-time payment nonce is returned for the merchant transaction request. Depending on the final flow, we may receive the nonce, transaction identifiers and status, and limited response details such as a card brand or last four digits. We do not intend to store full card numbers or security codes. We will verify and revise this notice to reflect the actual integration before checkout opens. Do not email card or bank account details to us.
When ordering becomes available, checkout will identify required contact, billing, shipping, and payment fields. Authorize.Net may also process information for transaction authorization, fraud prevention, and security.
When information is shared
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently run third-party advertising or targeted-advertising programs through this site.
We may disclose information to service providers that help operate the website or respond to you, including Vercel for hosting and infrastructure, email providers, and—only after checkout is enabled—Authorize.Net, payment-related service providers, shipping carriers, and fulfillment vendors. These providers may process information to perform services for us under their applicable terms. Providers may process information in the United States or other jurisdictions where they or their service providers operate.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect the rights and safety of people or property, investigate fraud or security issues, enforce agreements, or complete a business reorganization or transfer. We do not disclose custom concepts publicly merely because they were emailed to us.
Cookies and choices
The catalog does not currently use advertising cookies, third-party ad trackers, or analytics tools. Our hosting and security providers may use essential technical mechanisms or logs to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the website. You can choose not to email us, but we cannot respond to an inquiry without the information needed to do so.
Because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, there is no advertising opt-out currently needed on this site. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide any required choices, including honoring applicable browser-based opt-out signals where required by law.
U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on your state and whether its law applies to our business and the processing, you may have rights to confirm processing; access or obtain a portable copy of personal information; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive information; and appeal a denied request. Some state laws apply only when statutory business, revenue, or processing thresholds are met. We evaluate requests under the law that applies to the requester and data.
California residents may have rights under the CCPA, as amended, to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, its sources, purposes, and categories of recipients; request deletion or correction; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising applicable rights. We do not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where required, we will honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, for applicable sale or sharing practices.
To submit a privacy request, email precisionbaitco@gmail.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject, your state of residence, and the request you wish to make. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority. We respond within the time required by applicable law and provide any required appeal process. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Retention and security
We keep email inquiries and related correspondence as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage the relationship, maintain business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. If orders are enabled, transaction and tax records may be retained for the periods required by law and legitimate accounting needs. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to lawful exceptions.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information and our business. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a legally reportable incident occurs, we will provide notices required by applicable law.
Children, changes, and contact
This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to review and delete it where required.
We may revise this policy as our business, website, checkout, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page before or when they take effect, as required.
